ETI's Rugged Multinational UPS

ETI's UPS range in power output from 1 kVA to 10 kVA in output capacity which is more than adequate to support critical electronic computer and communications equipment used by traveling diplomats around the world. These units are in use by all US service branches and NATO and designed to accept commercial power ranging from 86 to 270 VAC. Other units are available with inputs up to 690 VAC. The input frequency can range from 46 to 70 hertz, with up to 440 hertz optional. These voltages and frequencies cover all standard AC voltages worldwide.

Besides converting the voltage and frequency, the ETI UPS eliminates all the voltage and frequency fluctuations, transients and distortions, providing only clean sinusoidal power to the crucial equipment.

Rugged Not Ruggedized

Most products sold in the rugged market start out as desktop or consumer products (Commercial Off The Shelf otherwise known as COTS). These vendors will attempt to "ruggedize" their product to compete in the rugged market. These ruggedized COTS products usually fail due to either temperature, mechanical shock or vibration requirements since they were not designed to withstand these extremes!

ETI's products start out rugged whether for COTS or full MilSpec applications. They are designed to and meet Military Environmental Standards. ETI's products have successfully passed these tests numerous times including Mil STDs 167-1, 810E, 901D plus surviving the vehicle mounted endurance tests in the notorious Belgium Block and the explosive charges in the Barge tests.

Interchangeability
ETI designs all of its products with the concept of modularity and interchangeability between products. This includes the battery modules. For example, the standard internal battery module is used in numerous UPS products. The external battery modules can be used with multiple versions of UPS as well.
